British Columbia invited up to 239 Skilled Immigration Candidates

British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) On October 4, 2022, and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates. In the general draw, the province invited 184 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited to this draw was 82-120 points. In addition, British Columbia invited 32 candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214). In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 13 candidates. Additionally, fewer than five invitations have been issued for healthcare assistants (NOC 3413) and fewer than 5 ITAs for other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213). In total, the province invited up to 239 candidates for this draw. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 7,702 invitations.   What is British Columbia PNP?   The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is an economic immigration program administered by the Immigration Programs Branch of the Government of British Columbia.   The program allows the province to select and nominate foreign workers, international students, and entrepreneurs to help meet British Columbia’s labor market needs, support government priorities, and grow the province’s economy. Canada welcomes a record number of parents and grandparents Many families are being reunited in Canada through the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP), and this number will likely exceed the target set for 2022-2024. Under the immigration plan, Ottawa had aimed to bring in 25,000 parents and grandparents this year under the PGP and then raise the target to 28,500 new permanent residents next year. According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) statistics, for the first seven months of 2022, Canada is expected to welcome 29,091 new permanent residents under the PGP. This prediction is based on the existing trend, which has seen 16,970 new permanent residents enter Canada through that program in the first seven months of this year and is expected to continue through the rest of 2022.   There has been a record for more new permanent residents gradually entering Canada through the PGP in the first seven months of this year. In April, 2,403 immigrants became permanent residents as a consequence of the PGP. When compared to the previous month, there had been 692 more new permanent residents in May, or around 28.8% of the total, and another 10.5 percent in June, bringing the total to 3,420. Under the PGP, there were 2,910 fewer new permanent residents in July than in June. But it is clear that the number of new permanent residents approved under the PGP is increasing and is now closer to the highest number allowed under the Immigration Level Plan.   29091 candidates will be welcomed to Canada through PGP in 2022. According to data, the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) will allow 29091 permanent residents to enter Canada in 2022. This greatly exceeds the target set for the Parents and Grandparents Program in the Immigration Levels Plan 2022–24. (PGP). According to the Immigration Levels Plan, the program’s real aim was 25000 for 2022.  PGP for the year may range between 19000 and 31000. Therefore, the expected number of immigrants under the program remains within the specified range. The total number of PGP immigrants who arrived in Canada in 2019, the last full year before the pandemic, was 22010. And this year, 7081 more applicants (32.2%) will benefit from the program to immigrate to Canada.   What is the Parents and Grandparents Program? Saskatchewan invited 1,146 skilled candidates under the SINP

Saskatchewan conducted new rounds of invitations in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). On September 28, 2022. Saskatchewan issued 639 ITAs in the Express Entry category. Another 507 invitations were issued to the Occupations In-Demand category candidates. The lowest scores for these categories were 83 and 81 points, respectively, around 20 points more than they were in the previous draw. All invited candidates had educational credential assessments. In this draw, Saskatchewan invited candidates under 82 different NOCs. This year, Saskatchewan has already invited 9,710 candidates. Activists Urge Prime Minister  Justin Trudeau to Expand His Immigration Plan, As the House of Commons resumes operations after the summer break, immigration advocates are pushing for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to establish a path to permanent residency for as many as 500,000 undocumented immigrants in Canada. Since the spring, the minority Liberal government, aided by the New Democrats, has been quietly developing a so-called regularization plan for non-status migrants, many of whom are precariously employed in construction, cleaning, caregiving, food processing, and agriculture. The range of vulnerabilities faced by people in the underground economy is concerning, advocates say. Poor mental and physical health caused by social isolation and abusive working conditions were some of the main issues facing these workers.   When parliament reconvenes the following week, campaigners for migrant rights in Canada will step up their campaign to persuade Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s administration to offer permanent status to all foreign workers, students, and other unauthorized residents of the nation.   Danilo De Leon, an activist for undocumented workers’ rights, told reporters on Wednesday during a virtual press briefing that he and other people without status “cannot wait” any longer. French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream on September 23, 2022, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held the 5th round of invitations in Ontario’s Express Entry. In this round, OINP issued 363 invitations to apply for the Francophone candidates. The Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) range of candidates who received the Notification of Interest from the OINP was above 326 points. The province invited candidates who had 36 specific NOCs. The Express Entry profiles of the candidates were created between September 23, 2021, and September 23, 2022. In 2022, Ontario invited 1,379 candidates under the FSSW stream.   Overview of OINP   The province’s scheme for economic immigration is called the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada collaborate with the federal government of Canada (IRCC).   Foreign employees, foreign students, and individuals with the required education, training, and experience submit nomination requests to the OINP.   People with the knowledge and experience that the Ontario economy requires are identified by the OINP and nominated for permanent residency. However, the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence belongs to the Government of Canada.   Express Entry Requirements   The Ontario French-Speaking skilled worker is linked with the federal Express Entry system. A candidate must have an active Express Entry profile in the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC), along with results of both the English and French official language tests, in order to be considered for entry.   Federal Skilled Worker Candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker position must at the very least have a high school diploma and at least a year of continuous full-time, skilled job experience. When acquired in a position at National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B, work experience is considered skilled.   Get a free Assessment Canadian Experience Class The Canadian Experience Class has no requirements for schooling. Candidates for the CEC must have a minimum of one year of full-time, professional job experience in Canada. It is not necessary for this job experience to have been continuous, but it must have been acquired in the three years before the application. Working in a position requiring NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B qualifies as skilled experience.     Language Proficiency   Candidates must have valid language test results for both English and French that have been obtained within the two years prior to applying in order to be taken into consideration for this program. The results of the French language test must show a minimum benchmark level of 7 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for each of the four abilities. The Test d’évaluation de Français (TEF) is the only test that is approved for use in this situation (TEF). The results of the English language test must demonstrate a minimum level of CLB 6 in each of the four abilities. Ottawa to ease vaccine requirements and make Arrive Can optional. The Canadian government is planning to stop requiring mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations at its borders as of September 30, 2022.  The government still needs to approve the change, but the government would likely drop the requirement and end the random COVID-19 testing at airports. Cabinet ministers have confirmed that they are evaluating alternatives and that discussions are taking place within the government about whether or not to keep the travel restrictions in place. On June 29, 2022, the government last expanded public health measures at borders and claimed that 95 percent of land and air passengers were using the app at the time.   Why is Canada relaxing its restrictions on COVID-19?    The relaxation in restrictions on Covid-19 comes as a result of the recent successes in Canada’s vaccination program. With more and more people getting vaccinated, the risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19 is decreasing. The virus is still out there, and it is still possible to contract and spread it. In an effort to continue this progress, the Canadian government has announced that it will be easing vaccine requirements and making ArriveCan optional.   ArriveCAN is an app that allows you to submit your travel and contact information to the Canadian government. It is used to help the government keep track of who is entering the country and to help prevent the spread of disease. The app is free to download and use. A receipt from ArriveCAN verifies that you successfully submitted your information.   Before and after entering Canada, you must use ArriveCAN to provide the necessary travel and public health information. ArriveCAN helps in our continuous efforts to modernize cross-border travel, in addition to keeping travelers secure.   The Canadian government will be easing some of the entry requirements for vaccines into the country. Vaccines will still be required for some people, but those who are fully vaccinated will no longer need to use Arrive CAN. This change is being made in order to make travel easier for those who are fully vaccinated and to encourage more people to get vaccinated.   How does this impact international travelers to Canada?   The Canadian government is planning to ease vaccine requirements and make ArriveCan optional for travelers entering the country. This means that travelers will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or use the ArriveCan app when entering Canada. The move comes as the government seeks to reduce travel restrictions and encourage more people to visit Canada. The streamlined requirements will also apply to those traveling from within Canada.   This change is welcome news for those who have been struggling with the ArriveCan app. For travelers who are not vaccinated, this may provide some relief as well. However, it is important to remember that even if you are not required to use ArriveCan or submit a travel plan, you will still need to follow all other entry requirements. Repositioning ArriveCAN as optional will come as a relief to travelers who don’t want to submit their customs declarations, vaccination status, and travel plans through an app that, at times, has malfunctioned or caused confusion. Alberta Released the Updated AAIP Inventory the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is the provincial government program that helps people in Alberta immigrate to Canada. On September 2, 2022, Alberta published the update of the inventory of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). According to the new update, there were around 1,160 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 300 Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) provided 6,250 nomination certificates to Alberta in 2021 for nominations under the AAIP, and the provincial government issued all 6,250 certificates last year. For 2022, IRCC provided 6,500 nominations for the AAIP. In 2022, Alberta nominated 4,497 applicants and invited 2,320 candidates.   What is the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program? The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is a program that seeks to address the province’s skilled labor shortages. Alberta has released an updated AAIP inventory, which includes the names of businesses and organizations that are now eligible for the program. The new AAIP inventory includes the name of over 1,800 businesses and organizations that are now eligible for the program. If they qualify and are accepted, applicants can acquire an Alberta provincial nomination and successfully immigrate to Canada under the AAIP. Applicants must have the following qualifications to be eligible for the Alberta PNP program: Biometrics Checks for security Certificate of Medical Fitness Clearance from Police Approval from federal authorities   Candidates who receive an Alberta nomination may seek permanent residence in the province with their partner, spouse, or children. In addition, the AAIP provides funding for research projects and supports the development of counseling standards in Alberta. The AAIP also provides information on counseling services and resources available in the province. Applicants who are interested in Alberta’s growing job market and attractive surroundings can benefit from a faster path to obtaining Canadian permanent residence through the AAIP. Obtaining an Alberta Provincial Nomination will increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through the Express Entry System by 600 points. How do I apply to the AAIP? Alberta’s AAIP inventory is a valuable resource for environmental consultants and professionals in the oil and gas industry. The inventory was updated this year, adding more than 100 new reports. As explained above, there are four major streams for applying to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. Canada invited 1,931 candidates under the International Experience Canada International Experience Canada (IEC) Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools. From September 5 to September 11, Canada invited 1,931 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of September 9, there are 23,489 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 1 ITA for Andorra, 243 ITAs for Australia, 16 ITAs for Austria, 23 ITAs for Belgium, 2 ITAs for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 42 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 14 ITAs for Denmark, 1 ITA for Estonia, 228 ITAs for France, 164 ITAs for Germany, 14 ITAs for Greece, 18 ITAs for Hong Kong, 191 ITAs for Ireland, 78 ITAs for Italy, 203 ITAs for Japan, 2 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 26 ITAs for the Netherlands, 64 ITAs for New Zealand, 5 ITAs for Norway, 31 ITAs for Poland, 31 ITAs for Portugal, 3 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 86 ITAs for Spain, 13 ITAs for Sweden, 2 ITAs for Switzerland, 3 ITAs for Taiwan, and 420 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2022, Canada issued 110,250 ITAs under the IEC Program.   The International Experience Canada International Experience Canada (IEC) is a set of programs enabling young people from participating countries to travel to Canada to live and work temporarily. Foreign nationals who are successful through one of the IEC programs will be authorized to apply for a Canadian work permit without the need for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). IEC authorizes temporary stay in Canada, with the approval of work permits for a maximum of one year. IEC work permits are approved through a randomized draw system. Not all foreign nationals who submit expressions of interest will be selected for the program. Chances of success depend on the quota for each program and country. IEC has general requirements, interested applicants should verify the requirements for the separate programs.   Why is Canada Inviting Candidates to Work in Canada? There are a few steps you need to take in order to apply for IRCC’s International Experience Canada program. First, you need to make sure you are eligible to apply. And make sure you know the date and time of your deadline. Here are more steps in order to apply you should know; Complete the online form Get all the documents  Proof of financial support Medical Exams Health insurance Police Certificates CV / Resume Passport Photo Family Information National Occupational Classification The fees you pay depend on the IEC category you’re applying to. Submit your complete application  You must be a citizen of a participating country, and you must be between the ages of 18 and 35.  Once you have submitted your application, you will need to pay the processing fee. After your application has been processed, IRCC will issue you a work permit if you are approved for the program.   After Approval of Your Application If your application is approved, you’ll receive a port of entry (POE) letter of introduction in your account. There are different scenarios for the Participants outside of Canada and for the Participants already in Canada; Get a free Assessment    International Experience Canada Participants outside Canada All travelers entering Canada must follow the latest testing and quarantine requirements to keep everyone safe. Make sure you’re using the newest version of ArriveCAN. If you previously submitted your information using an older version of ArriveCan, you must download the latest version and resubmit your information. To get your International Experience Canada work permit You must show your POE letter of introduction and other supporting documents to a Canadian border services officer at the port of entry (airport, land border) on or before the expiry date of your letter. The expiry date will be clearly marked in your letter. A border services officer will review these documents and will make a final decision on whether you can enter Canada. A POE letter of introduction issued under the International Experience Canada Program is valid for 1 year. Once a letter is issued, it’s considered participation and can’t be canceled.   International Experience Canada Participants already in Canada If you are in Canada when you receive your POE letter of introduction, you must leave the country and re-enter at any port of entry to activate your work permit. If you plan to leave and re-enter Canada through the United States, you must meet US immigration requirements. You can only extend your work permit under a limited number of circumstances. There are no exceptions. An IEC work permit cannot be extended past the maximum duration specified in each country or territory’s youth mobility arrangement. If your existing work permit has expired, you may apply to restore your status. If you are invited to apply for permanent residence under the IEC program, you will need to submit an online application. Once your application is approved, you will be issued a work permit that will allow you to work in Canada for up to two years.   We can help

Ottawa introduced a new refugee claim portal Ottawa, September 13, 2022; The Canadian government has made significant efforts to improve client services, including increasing the efficiency and capacity of the government’s asylum system. Individuals in Canada who wish to file a refugee claim can do so online through the new refugee claim portal beginning September 13, 2022. The new online asylum application will take the place of the Canadian Refugee Protection Portal as the primary method for people to apply for refugee status in Canada. The new app is only available to people who are currently residents of Canada.   Get a free Assessment    Officers will be able to connect directly with clients or their legal representatives via this protected channel. Applicants will also be able to monitor the status of their applications. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is working to improve client services and refugee claim processing by making the registration and refugee intake process in inland offices more efficient. Anyone who wants to apply for refugee protection in Canada can submit their paperwork as well as the documents of their family members who are living in Canada. Once a claim is opened, applicants will have 90 days to submit it. For privacy reasons, incomplete claims that are not completed within 90 days will be removed. Individuals who began a claim via the Canadian Refugee Protection Portal on or before September 12, 2022, but have not submitted it will have until December 31, 2022, to do so. Individuals who require accommodations may continue to file a written claim.   Each request for accommodation will be considered on an individual basis. The new refugee claim portal is part of our continuing order to upgrade Canada’s immigration system, which includes a promise to hire up to 1,250 more employees by the end of this fall in order to eliminate application backlogs.
