Ontario Entrepreneur Stream Issued 28 Invitations on August 16, 2022, OINP released the results of the new draw under the Entrepreneur Stream. In this draw, the province invited 28 business candidates. The minimum score of this round was 138, eight points fewer compared to the July 15 draw.  The OINP noted that those whose Expressions of Interest were scored by August 8, 2022, were eligible for this draw. The aim of the BC PNP International Graduate is to attract foreign students who have completed postgraduate or undergraduate education in British Columbia and would like to apply for a work permit and permanent residence in Canada. The BC PNP is offering a pathway to permanent residence for international graduates, skilled or semi-skilled workers, and their family members who want to settle in British Columbia. What is BC PNP BC PNP means British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program which is an economic immigration program that enables the province to directly select prospective immigrants to help address British Columbia’s labor market needs and contribute to the economic development of the province. Living in BC after Completing Graduation You can apply for a (PGWP) post-graduate work permit if you have recently completed your graduation from post-graduation school in BC. The Canadian working experience you gain while on this temporary work permit. It will be counted towards your application for permanent residence through the BC Provincial Nominee Program or the Canadian Experience Class. Or have you completed your graduation with a valid credential from an eligible Canadian university or college within the last three years? Delays in Work Permits Applications Negatively Impact Canadian Companies according to a survey conducted by the Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC), a non-profit organization, delays in work permits at IRCC are causing severe damage to Canadian companies. The CERC survey states that Canadian employers will require immediate access to international talent to restore the Canadian economy after the pandemic.   The survey also highlights that as vaccination rates rise and serious COVID-19 infections go down, mobility and travel will increase, as well as Canada’s capacity to manage the growing numbers of travel visa applications. Canada Welcomes Record Immigrants from Hong Kong According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a record number of 12,484 open work permits were issued to Hong Kong residents from March 2017 through June 2022. Last year, the Government of Canada introduced two new pathways for Hong Kongers to immigrate to Canada: one for students and one for professionals.  The overwhelming majority of applicants were young and middle-aged people. Canada Invited 4,480 Candidates under IEC Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws and invited 4,480 Candidates under IEC in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From July 25 to July 31, Canada invited Candidates under IEC young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of July 29, there are 20,169 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation.  In this round, there were 549 ITAs for Australia, 36 ITAs for Austria, 47 ITAs for Belgium, 26 ITAs for Chile, 12 ITAs for Costa Rica, 8 ITAs for Croatia, 63 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 19 ITAs for Denmark, 7 ITAs for Estonia, 1,369 ITAs for France, 240 ITAs for Germany, 20 ITAs for Greece, 23 ITAs for Hong Kong, 335 ITAs for Ireland, 106 ITAs for Italy, 341 ITAs for Japan, 9 ITAs for Latvia, 23 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 63 ITAs for the Netherlands, 131 ITAs for New Zealand, 4 ITAs for Norway, 34 ITAs for Poland, 62 ITAs for Portugal, 25 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 181 ITAs for Spain, 25 ITAs for Sweden, 9 ITAs for Switzerland, 17 ITAs for Taiwan, 692 ITAs for the United Kingdom.
